Just What is a Dental Emergency?

Everyone has a different idea of what an emergency is.  Allow us to share with you what we consider to be an urgent matter.  A dental emergency is a potentially life-threatening condition that requires immediate attention.

This can include:

  • Trauma – an injury to the mouth and face

  • Severe infection, such as an abcess (bump or pimple on the gum) and/or swelling

  • Bleeding that continues for an extended amount of time

  • Dental pain that cannot be managed with over the counter medications such as Tylenol or Advil

If you experience any of the above, call our office immediately.  If you reach us outside of regular hours, the dentists cell phone numbers are listed on our voicemail for you to use.

Please contact our office during regular business hours for issues not listed above.
